Core Scanning Free v1.2.0

Batch Frame Scanning

Scan multiple frames, component libraries, and full device artboards in a single pass with instant search and status filtering.

Audit whole user flows instead of one layer at a time

Evaluating contrast element by element becomes tedious on real-world design projects. When you are auditing a multi-step checkout, a mobile app prototype with twenty screens, or a complete design system component sheet, you need to see the big picture immediately.

TintSense allows you to select any number of top-level frames, groups, or components and audit all of them simultaneously in a single scan.

Engine Architecture

TintSense traverses the Figma scene graph asynchronously, batching node reads to prevent UI freezes. Nodes are grouped hierarchically by their closest parent frame, providing aggregated metrics and instant navigation across large canvases.

Key Capabilities in Batch Mode

1. Hierarchical Frame Grouping

Scan results are automatically categorized by their parent artboards. For each scanned frame, TintSense displays:

  • Frame Name & Visual Thumbnail: Fast spatial recognition of which artboard you are reviewing.
  • Pass vs. Fail Tally: Distinct green and red indicators showing exactly how many text elements pass or fail in that screen.
  • Overall Screen Grade: When Pro is active, view the composite accessibility score per screen at a glance.
  • Click to Zoom: Clicking any frame header automatically pans and zooms your Figma viewport directly to that artboard on the canvas.

2. Instant Search & Status Filtering

When working with complex frames containing hundreds of text layers, drilling down to violations is effortless:

FRAME DETAIL TOOLBAR & FILTER CONTROLS REAL-TIME SEARCH
All (24) Failing (3) Passing (21) Search text...

Filter directly by "Failing" to isolate problem layers, or type keywords like "button", "caption", or "placeholder" to audit specific UI elements across your screens.

3. Auto-Scan on Selection Change

Keep TintSense open beside your canvas with Auto-scan enabled in Settings. Whenever you select a new frame or element on your canvas, TintSense automatically detects the change, scans the active selection, and refreshes the report without requiring a manual click.

4. Skip Hidden Layers Option

Design files often contain hidden scratch layers, older design iterations, or disabled variants. With the "Skip hidden" toggle turned on, TintSense ignores non-visible nodes (node.visible === false), ensuring your pass rates reflect only what users actually see.

How to use in Figma

  1. Hold Shift and select multiple frames or drag a marquee selection across your canvas.
  2. Open TintSense or click the primary Scan Selection button.
  3. Expand any frame card in the grid to inspect its individual text layers, or click Fix All on failing screens.
